We are absolutely thrilled to announce that The Together Project has been awarded a fantastic grant of £61,400 from Global’s Make Some Noise!
This funding will enable us to expand our much-loved 'Songs & Smiles' sessions across the north-west region over the next two years, bringing intergenerational joy to even more communities!

Global - Making everyone’s day brighter
For those who might not know, Global’s Make Some Noise is the official charity of Global, the Media & Entertainment group, and they're all about supporting local communities across the UK. They're passionate about ensuring that no one faces life’s toughest challenges alone, and we're over the moon to be a part of their incredible mission.
The grant giving charity raises funds and awareness of the biggest issues affecting society, and it gives small charities like us, an opportunity to reach over 26.6 million weekly listeners across Global’s radio brands including Capital, Heart, Classic FM, Smooth, LBC, Radio X, Capital XTRA and Gold.
Each station raised as much money as possible with presenters completing challenges on Make Some Noise Day 6th October 2023. In total, they collectively raised over £2.6 million for life changing projects in local communities across the UK.
Classic FM’s Alexander Armstrong completed his Musical Voyage challenge back in the studio where he interviewed Louise Goulden our Founder & CEO on his week day morning show.
Louise then joined Alexander, London Sea Shanty Collective (a local community choir) and some of our Songs & Smiles friends from across the generations to sing a sea shanty together on the terrace overlooking London.
What this means
Being awarded this grant is MASSIVE for us. It's like getting a big, warm hug from the universe. With the growing demand for our services and more families and care homes eager to join in on the fun, this grant couldn't have come at a better time. We're talking about spreading even more joy, reducing loneliness, and fostering beautiful connections between generations.
It's what we live for!
'Songs & Smiles' has already made such a positive impact on countless lives. From the infectious giggles of little ones to the heart-warming smiles of our older friends, every session is filled with love and laughter. And now, thanks to Global’s Make Some Noise, we're going to be able to reach even more families and care homes in the north-west.
