We are very grateful to The People’s Projects who give the public a say in how National Lottery funding should be put to good use in their local area. They gave us the chance - you made it happen!

The money will fund Songs & Smiles for a year in 5 care homes. Songs & Smiles, is an intergenerational music group for 0-4 year olds, their grown-ups and older people, held in care homes and assisted living schemes.
We sing, move, play, make friends and have lots of fun!
Our mission is for everyone to come away smiling, and we mean everyone - tiny babies, on-the-go toddlers, parents and guardians, older residents, people living with dementia, care home staff and our volunteers - we all have a great time.
The Together Project is the national charity that boosts wellbeing, reduces loneliness and fosters stronger, happier communities through joyful intergenerational experiences.
We design joy-filled creative activities that are rolled out at scale to reach as much of the UK as possible. Each activity brings together at least two different age groups who might not normally come into regular contact, with a focus on fun and friendship.
You pulled together as one big community to help create a connected, inclusive society in which everyone has the opportunity to form joyful intergenerational friendships.
